I read this and thought about the lives we miss, the stories that my father-in-law talked about. He was a linesman. That meant that he and another man ran the phone lines up to the next post before the soldiers did. Without his job, the units couldn't communicate where 'charlie' was. War - what for. Some say Freedom for all. Unfortunately there are a lot of soldiers who fought for but never enjoyed that freedom. I will forever say thanks to each and every person that serves our country and keeps our boarders free. Great story Joelene.Doree L Andersonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14361060440964852027noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8773640122981885675.post-31998378765634834842012-11-11T14:50:31.058-07:002012-11-11T14:50:31.058-07:00I left if "what if" on purpose...food fo...I left if "what if" on purpose...food for thought. He wrote of his horrors to me so he could spare his mother and wife the worry. This made me tear up thinking "it wasn't burned" and that means one thing...

Thanks Joelene. All that they give up daily and the living in fear on the battle field and the lack of support.
Thank you for sharing a beautiful post. And thank you those who serve.
God bless our troops.Sandy L.
